Joe Viña’s passion for the travel and the meetings industry began in 1990 in San Francisco, California and he has held a variety positions in sales, marketing, and leadership with global brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt International, Marriott International. His experience in direct selling includes strategic account development with Fortune 500 companies in several major markets in North America such as, California, Florida, Chicago and Washington D.C. Joe’s main focus in his role with ConferenceDirect® is establishing the ConferenceDirect® brand and services in Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific Regions for our global customers, developing new associates, and strengthening hotel partnerships throughout all of these geographical areas of the world. Although his specialty will be International, Joe will continue to work with both his domestic and international clients and partners based in North America. Joe is a Facilitator for Certification in Meeting Planning courses at several California Universities and has also been hired as a training facilitator, speaker and consultant with Master Connection Associates and is an active member of several industry related associations including (SITE), (MPI), (ASAE) and (GBTA) where he has dedicated more than 15 years of volunteered time to board appointed positions. Being the first American born in his family of Cuban decent, Joe is fluent in Spanish and values the importance of family. He and his wife, Gina, have two sons and reside in Austin, Texas USA.
